Westoby History

Mr Arthur Westoby started his business in Ingleton Avenue, Hull, as the war ended. In April 1946 he bought the current premises - a former vicarage - at 124 North Boulevard. He had been a paint-maker, manager and specialist varnish-maker with the long-established Hull firm, Sissons of Bankside. Over the years Westoby's has prospered to become one of the area's leading suppliers of decorative and industrial paints, along with spray equipment, wood-finishes and protective coatings.
